Destination Blue Ridge Summit, PA

Visitors journey to Blue Ridge Summit to connect with nature...to relax, reflect, and recharge. We are surrounded with opportunities for peace and relaxation. Blue Ridge Summit was originally inhabited by Native Americans. Surveyors Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon would cross over our mountain and create the now famous Mason-Dixon Line, separating Pennsylvania from Maryland.

Civil War troops from both the North and the South would cross through Blue Ridge Summit and right past Summit Springs on their way to and from Gettysburg. A small skirmish led by General Lee took place on what is now our local golf course. By the early 1900's, families and VIP's from Washington DC and Baltimore were calling Blue Ridge Summit home in the summer. Many embassies from around the world maintained chanceries in our area to escape the heat of the city before the days of air conditioning.

Today, our mountain serves as a backdrop for the President of the United States and World Leaders visiting Camp David. Our natural treasures include the Appalachian Trail, several of the most scenic sections of the 2,173 mile long trail cross right through our area. Think clearly, breathe deeply, and discover whole new peace of mind and relaxation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Make Summit Springs Inn your home away from home.

Here we celebrate all four seasons where you can enjoy Mother Nature's ever changing scenery. Surrounded by trees and forests 1,500 feet above sea level, our air is truly some of the cleanest and freshest on the East Coast.

Therapeutic Massage to relax your mind and body is also available. Please be sure to inquire with us for any special needs or requests you may have. Our goal is to take all your stress away while giving you a completely relaxing experience!
